Mrs. Winnie Lou Davis Sweat, 72, of Pulaski (formerly of Waycross), passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016, at Candler County Hospital in Metter following a long illness.

Born in Blackshear, GA on July 14, 1943, she had lived in Pierce and Ware Counties all of her life. Mrs. Sweat was a retired car transporter. She loved to fish before her health began to fail.

She was a daughter of the late Lloyd Oliver & Della Juanita Buckins Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Sweat.

Survivors include sister, Willene Davis Tuten of Bristol; a nephew, Loran (Melanie) Tuten; a niece, Pennie (Ben) Stovall; 6 great nieces and nephews, Ben Tuten, Brett Tuten, Ansley Stovall, Clark Stovall, Emily Stovall, and Thomas Stovall; and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sweat will be held at 4:30 Tuesday afternoon, May 10, 2016, at the Pearson-Dial Chapel.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Ramah Cemetery.
