ADA - Mrs. Dora Nancy Binkley, 71, wife of Dr. Wilfred E. Binkley, head of Ohio Northern University's history and political science department, died Saturday at 5 p.m. in Memorial Hospital. She had been a patient one week.
She was past president of the Ada Federation of Women's Clubs, member of the Zetetic Club, the Faculty Wives Club, St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and its Missionary Society.
She was born Jan. 4, 1888, in Allen County, the daughter of George and Elizabeth (Stepleton) Stotts. She married Dr. Wilfred Binkley, in 1911. He survives.
Other survivors include four sons, Wendell of Westfield, N.J., Lowell of Albany, N.Y., Ludwell of Wapakoneta, and Rev. Robert Binkley of Millersburg; three sisters, Mrs. Lula Morris of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Lenna Martz of Cairo, and Mrs. Myrtle Clowes of Mojave, Calif.; and nine grandchildren.
Mrs. Binkley attended Lima Lutheran College and taught for several years in Allen County before marriage. She was noted as a speaker and narrator of travelogues, having traveled extensively through Europe.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mark's Church with Rev. L. H. Wyadnt officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Preston Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Monday.
