Mr. Sois Richard "Ike" Ingram, 68, of 8787 Hickory Hill, Walkersville, died Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Martinsburg, W. Va., Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was the husband of Anna Louise Hobbs Ingram.
Born March 27, 1924, in Buckeystown, he was a son of the late Lawrence L. and Golden E. Haines Ingram.
Mr. Ingram was a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served in World War II. He retired from the Federal Civil Service at Fort Detrick and later worked for the National Park Service in Harpers Ferry, W. Va., with 30 years service. He was a member of Lewistown United Methodist Church, Lewistown, and a member of Francis Scott Key Post 11, American Legion, Frederick.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Roxanne L. Burge of Frederick; a son, Michael P. Ingram of Frederick; three grandchildren, Lucas William Graham of Frederick, and Mary Faith Ingram and Linda Jean Ingram, both of Thurmont; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends may call 3-9 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, where the family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, in Etchison Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. The Rev. Daniel L. Montague III, pastor of Lewistown United Methodist Church, Lewistown, will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Mr. Ingram's name may be made to Lewistown United Methodist Church Building Fund, 11032 Hessong Bridge Road, Lewistown, Md. 21701.
