ADA, May 31 - Funeral services for Mrs. Lillie Hesser Scoles, 72, were to be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Preston funeral home. The Rev. Marion Tinsler was to officiate with burial in Woodlawn cemetery.
Mrs. Scoles died Tuesday, May 29, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Henry Zimmer, Highland-av.
A native of Hardin-co, she was married to Charles Hesser of Ada on Oct. 22, 1897. Her husband preceded her in death on May 19, 1941. Four children were born to the couple and they are Mrs. Zimmer at whose home she died, Mrs. Orlo Wirt, Berlin Hesser and Wilbur Hesser, all of this city. Six grandchildren also survive, two of whom are serving in the armed forces.
On Dec. 5, 1941, she was remarried to Norval Scoles of Bluffton and he too preceded her in death, dying July 19, 1944.
