Mrs. Nellie Finley, member of a well known Plymouth Township family, died this morning at 3:30 in the Wyoming Valley Hospital, where she had been a patient for one week. She was a resident of 863 W. Main Street, Plymouth Township.
Born in Sugar Notch, she was a daughter of the late John and Ellen Dougherty McDonald.
Mrs. Finley was a member of St. Vincent's Church, Plymouth, and the Altar and Rosary Society of that congregation. She was also a member of the Reginas of King's College.
Surviving are her husband, Thomas Finley, and these children: Mrs. William Evans and Mrs. Edward Burns, Plymouth; Mrs. Paul Murphy, Plymouth Township; Thomas Finley, Jr., Raritan, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. William Driscoll, Middletown, Pa.; and two brothers, Michael McDonald, Wilkes-Barre, and Felix McDonald, Rome, N.Y. She also leaves seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be held from Brennan Funeral Home, Thursday at 9:30 a.m., with a Requiem Mass at 10 in St. Vincent's Church. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.
