Survivors include two children, Donald (Darlene) Eiler of Marion, and Mary Garner of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Scott, Lisa, Jason (Deb), Preston, and Adam; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Hunter, Jacob, and Emma; granddog Gracie; brother, Carl DeWoody of Olin; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Gary and his wife, Mary Kay; and two siblings, Harold and Esther.
Helen was born August 19, 1917 in Coggon, the daughter of Charles and Mary Augusta (Kee) DeWoody.
On March 30, 1937, she was united in marriage to Henry "Bud" Eiler in Galena, Illinois.
Helen was a member of Antioch Christian Church and the Coggon Quilt Club. She enjoyed quilting, reading, card making, tole painting, watching baseball and basketball, and sitting on her front porch.
A memorial fund has been established in Helen's memory.
