Scott E. Vance, 46, of Cedar Bluff, died June 15 in a Bristol, TN, hospital.
Born in Richlands, he was a son of the late Ershell and Dorothy Stiltner Vance.
He had spent his early life in the Swords Creek area and had later resided in the Cedar Bluff area. He was employed as a truck driver by Shelton Trucking Company of Swords Creek. He was a member of the Pine Creek Pole Church.
Survivors: wife, Carolyn Vance; daughters, Dorothy Vanessa Vance of Jewell Ridge, Cassandra Marie Vance of the home; son, Robert Scott Vance of the home; brother, Ershell Steven Vance of Doran; grandson, Jeremy Gilbert of Jewell Ridge; maternal grandmother, Ada Stiltner of Avon Park, FL; stepmother, Dorothy Vance of Jewell Ridge; stepsisters, Charlene Pinkerton of Cedar Bluff, Sandra Dye of Paintlick; and stepbrothers, Kenneth Thomas of Jewell Ridge and Alex Thomas of Raven.
The funeral was conducted June 17 at 11 a.m. in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel in Honaker with Rev. Grady McGlothlin and Rev. Gerald Lester officiating.
Interment followed in the Ward Cemetery at Swords Creek.
