Josephine C. (Litwaitis) Brote, 87, of Life Care Center of Auburn, 14 Masonic Circle, formerly of Worcester, died yesterday in the Center.
She leaves a sister, Isabel A. Malesky of Worcester; nephews and nieces. She was born in Waterbury, Ct., daughter of Anthony and Anna (Zemaitis) Litwaitis, and lived in Worcester for 33 years before moving to Auburn. She was educated in Waterbury, Ct., schools.
Mrs. Brote was a sales clerk for R.H. White's in Worcester for several years, retiring 23 years ago. Previously, she worked for White Cleaners in Worcester. She was a member of St. Casimir's Church in Worcester.
The funeral from Dirsa-Kazlauskas Funeral Home, 51 Providence St., Worcester, with a Mass in St. Casimir's Church, 41 Providence St., Worcester.
Burial will be in New Swedish Cemetery, Worcester.
