CONWAY - William Park Chestnut, 78, died Saturday in a local hospital. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. today in Langston Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Goldfinch's Conway Chapel, will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mr. Chestnut was born in Horry County, a son of Ernest L. Chestnut and Bessie Parker Chestnut. He was a Mason and an active member and former deacon of Langston Church.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby S. Chestnut; a son, E. Randall Chestnut of Atlanta; two daughters, Opal C. Hucks and Emma Lee Williams, both of Conway; a sister, Ernestine Bryant of Conway; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
