Born 1 week after her father died in East Schuyler, NY in the family log cabin. Moved to Agawam, MA, and lived with her mother's family after her father passed away. She had a son with Roger Lewis Dalgleish in 1943 but he married another woman. Thelma was going to give the child up for adoption, she went to Boston to have the baby, but decided to keep the baby and came back home with him. She already loved him and couldn't bear to give him up. She then worked as a Drill press operator at Springfield Armory while her mother watched her son. It was there she met her husband and the love of her life, Paul Sullivan. They worked together in Spfld Armory & moved in together at her apartment at 106 Maiden St. She was 3 mths pregnant when he proposed at Forest Park. Married at Holy Name Church, Spfld. He secretly adopted her son and they raised him as his own. Later they all moved to East Longmeadow, MA. Thelma worked for R.E. Phelon parts manufacturing company inspecting parts in East Longmeadow. It closed and moved to SC in 1979. Paul worked for the Diamond Match Company. They retired and moved to the family cottage in Southwick, MA on Lake Congamond. When her husband passed, she moved into assisted living in Southwick and sold the cottage to her grandson. Health issues: Osteoarthritis, Tendinitis, osteoporosis, CTS right arm, goiter, under-active thyroid, coronary artery disease eyes, psoriasis, appendicitis.
She had 4 children, 12 grandchildren. Buried next to her husband and her son at Agawam Center Cemetery Main St. She is the 6th generation in her Maternal Campbell line to be buried in this cemetery.
