do you do transfers for people outside the guidelines?

yeah!! i dont see why anyone wouldn't. honestly if you have an interest in that memorial i don't see why you shouldn't have it (unless you are requesting like 50 memorials at once)

can i repost your photo?

please only repost if you credit me. please write "Copyright [whatever year I uploaded the photo] by Find a Grave user EM, member ID #49076667". i spend a lot of time taking these pictures and transcribing them, i would really appreciate the little bit of credit i would get. (bonus points if you ask me if you can repost!)

are you related to this person?

probably not lol

why do you have so many photo requests?/why did you photo request this person?

i believe everyone deserves a gravestone or plot photo. i'm kind of a completionist, but also, i just believe that it is respectful to the person. however, i understand that not everyone is going to still have a stone (if they even had one in the first place) -- but i am obviously very into cemetery preservation, especially when it comes to older cemeteries, and i've seen how vandalism and extreme weather can ruin cemeteries. so i'd rather try and get a problem reported back than not try at all.

why didn't you thank me for fulfilling your photo request?

if i didn't thank you directly, then thank you! unfortunately find a grave occasionally prevents me from sending messages for some reason. it's been a problem for me since 2018 and it's very frustrating. just know i'm trying to send it as fast as possible and i am super grateful. :)

why did you upload a duplicate photo?

i uploaded a ""duplicate"" photo because, as find a grave support has told me directly, multiple photos of the same grave over time adds historical value. it also makes it so that it's easier to find the grave, since there could be more lichen on the grave, or it could have been recently cleaned, or it could've had people added. it could be a different angle, or different lighting, or a different season. also, photos uploaded after a certain point now include GPS coordinates -- which can help more people find those graves, even when there is no plot information.

will you take this photo/memorial down?

i will only consider removing a photo if you are a direct relation (parent/child, grandparent/grandchild, sibling, spouse). otherwise, i will not be considering your request unless you can provide me a valid reason why i should be.
