Bernice Elizabeth Woolls
Bernice Elizabeth Woolls, 88, of Seymour died at 5:12 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, 196, at Heritage House in Seymour, after being in failing health for three years.
Mrs. Woolls was retired after 35 years with Seymour Woolen Mill; 19 years with Gerwin Shoe Factory and nine years with the Lynn Grill. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary, both of Seymour, and Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Born February 29, 1908, in Seymour, she was a daughter of Grover Cleveland and Letha Ellen Durham Goens. In 1927, she married Arthur Hill, who preceded her in death. In 1942, she married Thomas A. Bryant, who preceded her in death. In 1965 she married Clarence Woolls, who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Arthur D. Hill, North Vernon; three daughters, Mrs. John (Nancy J.) Beal, Seymour; Mrs. Michael (Carolyn Sue) Weber, Scipio; and Mrs. Marlin (Mary) Wright, Virginia; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Wayne Hill; two brothers and three sisters.
The Rev. Ralph Blomenburg will conduct services at 1 p.m. Saturday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour, with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, the diabetes association or donor's choice.
