The death of Mrs. Minerva Umsted, age 60, occurred at her home, four miles southwest of Collinsville, at 4 o'clock Monday morning. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Mt Zion Baptist Church, Collinsville, Rev. C.A. Cox officiating. Interment in Mt Zion Cemetery was directed by the Brooks Powell Mortuary. She was born in Virginia March 31, 1875, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.J. Reasor. On April 7, 1895, she married Arch Umsted of Burns City community, Cooke County. She had resided in Cooke County since infancy. Mrs. Umsted was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband, five sons, Curtis, Erlin, Dallas, Vernon and Olin; 3 daughters, Mrs. Beulah Reece, Mrs. Gladys Donnelly, and Irene Umsted; also three sisters and two brothers.
