John Jay Reasor was born February 3, 1884 in Collinsville, Texas (Cooke County), son of John Jay Reasor (1850) and Amanda Belle Pennington (1855-1891). In 1903, in Pirtle, Oklahoma (Bryan County), John married Lottie Mae Rose, who was born November 21, 1883, in Joplin, Missouri (Jasper County), daughter of George Finley Rose (1858-1935) and Sarah Josephine Cox (1866-1947). John and Lottie had six known children: Ransom Reasor (1903-1905); Bertie Belle Reasor (1905-1951); James Reasor (1905-1905); Bertha Viola Reasor (1907-1990); Pearly Fay Reasor (1912-1914); and Alpha Omega Reasor (1914-1968). John died in September 1916 in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County) and was buried in Highland Cemetery. Holmes Funeral Home in Durant handled the interment. Lottie subsequently married Edward Hudson and had more children.
