Vera B. Moorefield

Vera Bondurant Moorefield, 87, of 1913 Forest Hill Drive, Greenville, N.C., died Wednesday morning in Greenville.

Born July 17, 1902, in Henry County, she was a daughter of George Edwin Bondurant and Lucy Allen Bondurant.

Mrs. Moorefield lived in Danville from 1919 until 1987, when she moved to Greenville to enter Cypress Glen Methodist Retirement Home.

She was married to E. T. Moorefield Jr., who died May 1, 1972.

She has been a member of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church for 68 years and a member of The Wednesday Club and the Book and Art Club.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Dillard Mills of Greenville; two sisters, Nell Motley of Roanoke and Willa Hite of Danville; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Highland Burial Park by the Rev. Donald Seely.
