With three other Nezperce youths, young Koepl left a dance at the high school gymnasium at 11 last night. They came upon a car driven by Robert Stach stalled near the Nezperce Hotel.

The car went out of control, and as Koepl tried to turn it back onto the pavement, it rolled The door on the driver's side came open and Koepl fell out. The other youths, Orval Schlader, Bill Braun and Paul Zenner remained in the car and were not injured.

Stach who had turned around at a junction one mile north of Nezperce, came upon Koepl lying in the center of the highway 15 feet from where the car stopped rolling. Sheriff Guy Cash was called and an ambulance rushed from Craigmont to take the injured youth to Cottonwood.
