ACKLEY.
A long-time resident of Davenport expired at Brooklyn, la., Monday, at the ripe old age of 79 years—Mrs. Elizabeth Ackley, who came to this county in 1854, and made this city her home for many years. She was a sister of RobertShaw of this city, and mother of J. M. and Wm. A . Ackley of Davenport, Roswell D. of Brooklyn, and R. M. of Washington,Ia. She was a woman much esteemed by her friends, and was a consistent member or the Fourteenth street M. E. church.
The funeral was held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from the home of J. M. Ackley, corner Rock Island and Locust streets, with interment in Oakdale.
