Mr. William Hottel, a life long citizen of this county and a prosperous farmer of near Conicville, died at the home of his son, Charles, on the ninth of this month and was aged 76 years, 4 months and 14 days.
His wife, whose maiden name was Dix, died about five years ago. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren mourn the loss of a true and beneficent support.
In the world of business, the deceased was active and was successful in making and saving a nice little fortune. His relations to his neighbors were cordial and sympathetic.
He was a member of the Reformed congregation at Conicville, and his remains were laid at rest in the graveyard near the church.
His funeral was held on Friday morning, in the presence of large number of relatives and friends. The services were conducted by the pastor of father Hottel, Rev. H. Ditzler, who preached from 2 Cor. V:I.
