Vallie Browning was born May 7, 1914 in Logansport, LA to E.C. and Lucy Ann Curry. She passed into the arms of her Lord January 31, 2008 after a brief illness. She was a retired bookkeeper for Wailes Tax Service. She was a member of Woodridge Baptist Church. Vallie was known to serve the Lord in numerous ways. She continuously witnessed and shared the scriptures of the Lord with those around her.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Herman Browning; sister, Josephine Reynolds, Leon Reynolds and granddaughter, Amy Austin.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Mary Ann Ward and husband Robert and Lexie Austin and husband Harold; grandchildren: Mary Beth Varnell and husband Mike, Chris Austin, Rob Ward and Pam Skinner; great-grandchildren, Jessica Varnell and Nathan Skinner; nieces: Lavada Bryant and JoAnne Mula; nephews, J.W. and Wade Mericle; brother-in-law, Kenneth Browning.
Honoring her as pallbearers will be members of her family.
