Mrs. Dostal was born May 25, 1934 to Mike and Laurene (Morneau) Sirek at Dobie. She graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1952 and worked at Shilkrot's Store there and then as a telephone operator. In 1954 she married Richard Dostal of Haugen. She loved to garden, read, swim, cross country ski and ride horses. She had served as a Eucharistic minister to shut-ins and the sick and was a Friend of the Sisters of St. Francis. She spent the last 6 years of her life on dialysis and had hoped to receive a kidney transplant.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; five daughters, Lori Reed of Clear Lake, Lisa Brungardt of Augusta, Julie Ash, Marjorie Peterson and MaryBeth Robach, all of Rice Lake; two sons. Jeffrey of Elk Mound and Matthew of Rice Lake; 13 grandchildren; her mother, Laurene of Rice Lake; three sisters, Maryann Hensel of Cameron, Phyllis Denison of Stone Lake and Judy Running of Lake Elmo, Minn.; and a brother, Mike Sirek Jr. of Rice Lake.
