Funeral services for Oscar Jodsaas, 78, farmer in the Englevale community,
were held last Wednesday from Stiklestad Lutheran Church in Fort Ransom with
Rev. Paulson in charge.
Mr. Jodsaas died in his farm home Sunday. Born at Vardalen, Norway, Jan.
29, 1880, he came to Ransom county in 1890 with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ole Jodsaas.
He attended Ransom schools and married Berth Stokhaug at Fort Ransom March
29, 1906. They had farmed near Englevale since.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, Clifford and Arnold of Wayne, Mich.;
and Herman of Sharp Park, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Fred (Bernice) Kile,
West Fargo; and Mrs. Henry (Inga) Munkeby, Englevale; a brother, Christ of
Lisbon; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
