John David Andrews Sr., 82, of Harrisonburg, died June 22, 1991, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted Tuesday. He had been in failing health for the past 18 months.
Mr. Andrews was born March 26, 1909, in Rockingham County and was a son of the late David Henry and Elizabeth Weaver Andrews.
He spent his entire life in the Mount Clinton community and had worked as an auto mechanic. Mr. Andrews was a member of Peak Mennonite Church.
On December 24, 1936, he married Mamie Ray Andrews, who died April 6, 1983.
Surviving are three sons, J.D. Andrews Jr., of Harrisonburg, Mark Ray Andrews, of Hinton, and Stephen Warren Andrews, of Harrisonburg, one sister, Anna Forren, two brothers, Paul W. and Joseph H. Andrews, all of Harrisonburg, five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
