Elbert Carroll Alderman, 49, of Woodlawn, died in a Roanoke hospital Sunday, June 2, 1968.
He was born in Carroll County April 30, 1919, to James E. and Florence Cox Alderman.
Surviving are his wife, Myrtle Alderman; two daughters, Miss Nita Barbara Alderman and Miss Betty Jo Alderman, Woodlawn; two sons, Elbert W. Alderman and James Robert Alderman, Woodlawn; a sister, Mrs. Lola Lineberry, Galax; and a brother, Lawrence Alderman Richmond. (A sister, Mrs. Claris Alderman Cox, of Galax, died Monday night, June 3, 1968).
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home, Galax, by the Rev. W. Isom Melton and the Rev. Winfred Bowers.
Interment was in River Hill Church Cemetery.
