WAVERLY: Harold Avery of Caldwell Ave., Waverly died at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre at 6:00 o'clock in the morning (Sunday, March 22nd).

He underwent an operation recently and had two transfusions of blood. He was 33 years of age.

He is survived by his widow, Genevieve; his mother, Mrs. Harriet Avery, who resided with him; 3 brothers, Harland of Niagra Falls, Leal of Rochester, LaVerne of Wilkes-Barre; one sister Mrs. Edward Hones of Roscoe, NY. (no mention of his father, John Avery, who was stiill living somewhere in Pa.)

Mr Avery was employed several years as an expert accountant for the Lehigh Valley Railroad Co. at Sayre and had recently been at the employ of the Metropolitan Insurance Company at Waverly. The funeral will be held Thursday (March 26) afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Baptist Church, the Rev. W.H. Daliman officiating. Interment will be in the cemetery at Johnson City (sic)-- he is buried at Riverhurst Cemetery in Endicott, NY.
