wife of John Wesley Avery, a school teacher and they had 5 children. Four sons and one daughter. The sons were Leal, Harold, LAverne and Harland. The daughter, Cornelia Elizabeth. Leal had one son, Roland; Laverne one son, Richard (Dickie); Harland had 2 children, a son Carlton and a daughter Wanda (Mrs Delbert Gephart) Temple City., Cal., and Cornelia Elizabeth (Mrs Edward W Hones) Los Alamos, N.M., with 2 children, Dr Edward Wheeler Hones, Los Alamos and Marguerite Louisa (Mrs Barry Kendal), Jeddah, Saudi Aribia. Harriet left Long Eddy in 1915 and was employed in Binghamton until 1922 when she went to Roscoe., NY., to make her home with her daughter and family, and remained with them until her death in Dec 1948, at the home of her daughter who was then living in Dayton, Ohio. She was interred with her parents and brothers, at Long Eddy."
