Mr. Ray was born in Missouri and lived in the Selah area for 50-plus years. He served 37 years in the Army National Guard and 35 years in Maneuver Area Training and Equipment Site.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ray of Selah; two daughters, Kelly Briskey of Moxee and Ann McBride of Selah; three sons, John Ray of Selah, David Ray of Yakima and Mark Fife of California; a sister, Kathy Whitehead of Selah; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Viewing and a funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Valley Hills Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Wenas Cemetery.
