Mr. Wilt was stricken at home and was dead on arrival at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
He has been a baker 52 years before retiring in 1972. He had worked for the Friddles and Beck & Fields bakeries and was with Holsum Bakery 25 years.
Mr. Wilt was a member of the Bakers and Confectionary Association and the Loyal Order of Moose and Legion of Moose.
He was born in Harrisonburg May 22, 1912 and was a son of the late Andrew Jackson and Lucy Boyers Wilt.
On Jan. 15, 1929, he married the former Grace Wheeler, who died Feb. 27, 1974.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean W. Biller and Gwendolyn W. Freeman, both of Harrisonburg; a grandson, Timothy Scott Biller, whom Mr. Wilt helped rear; and a sister, Marie W. Bates of Harrisonburg.
The funeral will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Lindsey Harrisonburg Funeral Home by the Rev. Louis E. Carson. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
The body is at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends 7:30-8:30 p.m. today. Friends also may call at the Wilt home.
The family said memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisonburg Rescue Squad.
