ASCHBACHER
Services for Bennie Carl Aschbacher, 84, 102 N. 12th St., are pending with West Funeral Home. He died June 8, 1987, in a local nursing home.
He was born June 11, 1902, in Ballinger, Texas. His family lived in Ballinger until 1905 when they moved to Elida, N.M., where he was raised and educated. On Nov. 26, 1932, he and Ada C. Smith were married in Raton and ranched west of Elida and other locations before moving to Carlsbad in 1950.
He went to work for IMCC as an operator and worked there until his retirement in 1962. Following his retirement he operated a bait and tackle shop.
Survivors include his wife, Ada, Carlsbad; two sons, Arthur Leon Aschbacher, Sudan, N.M., and Tommy Carl Aschbacher, Joplin, Mo.; and one brother, Joe Henry Aschbacher, Carlsbad.

Aschbacher died at a local nursing home June 8, 1987.
Pallbearers include: Dwayne Milliron, Ray Aschbacher, Don Derrington, Wes Ward, Gary Davis, Jim Schrock and Gaylon Switzer.
