Mrs. Nora L. Perry
Mrs. Nora Louise Perry, 89, formerly of 226 Fillmore, died Thursday, July 18, at a Topeka hospital.
Mrs. Perry was a nurses aide at St. Francis Hospital from 1955 until 1962.
She was born Dec. 8, 1895, in the Bucksgrove community near Havensville, the daughter of Tillman and Ella Kroth Loughmiller. She lived in Topeka since 1953.
Mrs. Perry was a former member of Lowman Methodist Church and the Home Builders Class of the church, Ladies Auxiliary to Philip Billard Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1650 and West Side Baptist Church.
She was married to Thomas H. Perry on Feb. 24, 1914, in Topeka. She and her husband farmed in the Bucksgrove community from 1914 until 1951. He survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lorna Graves abd Mrs. Lucille Sipes, both of Topeka; three sons, Leroy Perry, Topeka, Robert Perry, St. Marys, and Larry Perry, La CRosse, Wis.; a brother, Joe Loughmiller, Lake Elsinore, Calif.; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Newcomer-Diffenderfer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 2 until 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Hospital and Building Fund, 1700 W. 7th, Topeka.
