A graveside service for Sarah Thompson Snider Kiracofe, 85, Willow Creek Health Care, Midlothian, and formerly of Dayton, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Rest Haven Cemetery in Harrisonburg, with Rev. Richard Pecore officiating.

Mrs. Kiracofe died Nov. 29, 1995, at Willow Creek Health Care. She became ill while visiting in Richmond in 1988 and had since lived at Willow Creek.

She was born June 15, 1901, in Rockingham County, the daughter of the late John W. and Elizabeth Sharps Thompson.

She had worked at Cherry Corner in Rockingham Memorial Hospital for a number of years.

Her first husband, Walter C. Snider, died in 1961; her second husband, Albert Kiracofe, also preceded her in death in 1974.

Survivors include two sons, Marvin Leo Snider, Harrisonburg, and Elwood "Moody" Snider, Chesterfield County; a daughter, Janet S. Jones, Chester; two stepdaughters, Kathleen Coffman and Janet Detamore, both of Dayton; a stepson, Robert Kiracofe, Bridgewater; two sisters, Mary A. Thompson, Harrisonburg, and Edna Foley, Bridgewater; three grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 7-8 p.m. today at the Kyger & Trobaugh Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. The casket will be closed.
