Hiram Jackson Winchester, 69 years old, died at 8:15 p.m. yesterday at his home in Purcell where he had lived the past four months.

Mr. Winchester was a retired farmer of the Neosho vicinity, and had lived in this area all of his life until he moved to Purcell.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Molly Winchester; three sons, Floyd Winchester, Arkansas, Lloyd Winchester, Neck City and Fred Winchester, Purcell; eight daughters, Mrs. Parilee Hiatt and Mrs. Dorothy Sanders, Oregon, Deama McAlister, Texas, Jewel Billings, Tennessee, Nola McGuire, Neosho, Hazel Mabes, Oklahoma, Naoma Lee and Beulah Moser, Carthage; 39 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the Northside Baptist Church, Neosho, and burial will be in Neosho IOOF Cemetery.

The Rev. Emmett Tichenor of Wheaton will officiate at the service, assisted by Rev. Arnold Long, Northside Baptist pastor.

Pallbearers will be Acie Dean, Virgil Dean, Gerald Dean, Harold Dean, Carroll Lee Winchester and Clifford Moser.

The Pogue Funeral Home, Wheaton is directing the arrangements.
