Hiram Manford Winchester, 32 years old, driver of a City Cab company taxi, died at 2:30 yesterday morning at the Sale Memorial Hospital where he was taken early Saturday morning as a result of an automobile accident in front of 606 West McCord Street. Mr. Winchester suffered several cuts and bruises about the head when the taxi he was driving struck a Buick owned by Captain Thurman Snyder parked on the side of the street at 3:15 Saturday morning.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maudie Winchester, four children, Roger Dale, William Wayne Curtis Leroy and Blandal Louise, all of the home, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Winchester of Neosho, three brothers, Floyd Winchester of Sulpher Springs, Arkansas, Lloyd Winchester of Denver, Colorado and Fred Winchesters of Clearwater, California and eight sisters, Mrs. Paralee Hiatt of Denver, Colorado, Mrs. Moser and Mrs. Naoma Lee, both of Carthage, Missouri, Mrs. Nolan McGuire of Miami, Oklahoma, Mrs. Ray Mabes of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Mrs. J.S. Billings of Memphis, Tennessee, Mrs. Dorothy Sanders of Commerce, Oklahoma and Mrs. John McAllister of Neosho and a host of relatives and friends.
