Robert Henderson

Robert Bruce Henderson, 63, of Covelo died on August 16 in Willits.

A native of Covelo, Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife of 41 years, Edna Henderson of Covelo; his son, Jerry Henderson of Chico; and two daughters, Claire Hurt of Covelo and Betty Goforth of Covelo.

He is also survived by his brother Douglas Henderson of Covelo; his sister, Elaine Smith of Reno, Nevada; six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at the Valley View Cemetery in Covelo today (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. with the Reverend Michael Boyland officiating.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Mendo-Lake Chapter of the American Cancer Society.

Robert Bruce Henderson, 63, a native of Covelo, died Sunday, August 16. The rancher spent his entire life in the community and was self-employed for 40 years. He was married in Reno on October 1, 1940 to Edna O'Ferrall and is survived by his wife Edna and three children: Claire Hurt and Betty Goforth of Covelo, and Jerry Henderson of Chico. He also leaves a brother Douglas Henderson of Covelo and a sister Elaine Smith of Reno. There are six grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, August 19, in Valley View Cemetery with the Reverend Michael Boyland of Covelo Presbyterian Church officiating. Pall bearers were Nelson Brush, Ray Polsley, Roger O'Ferrall, Kenny Long, Darwin Vann and Allen Jamison.
