Emma Brandt age 88 of Fremont passed away Monday at the Hooper care center following an illness of about 3 years.
She was born Dec 21 1896 at Scribner and was the daughter of Abraham and Mathilda Schultz. She lived her entire lifetime in the Scribner-Hooper-Nickerson area except for the last 2 years when she lived in Fremont. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church of Hooper.
She was united in marriage on Feb 11 1914 to Albert Brandt who survives. During their married life she and her husband owned and operated the Hooper Bottle Works from 1926 to 1940. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 1984.

Survivors include her husband, 3 daughters: Mrs Beulah Hal of Fremont, Mrs Clarence (Bonita) Heywood of Hooper and Mrs Carl (Gladys) Miller of Fremont, one son Roy of Fremont: 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Rev Curtis Benson officiating, interment will be in the Hooper cemetery under the direction of Warne Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church on Thurs. from 1230pm to the time of the service.
