Constance "Connie" "Sis" Peterson, age 60 passed away on August 30, 2010. She was born on August 3, 1950 to Telford Sr. and Lucy (Morrisseau) Bruyere in Fort Francis, Ontario. She lived there until she was 15 then she moved to Minnesota.

Connie moved to Sawyer, MN where she got married and raised her family. She was very strong with her community where she counseled young and old about addictions.

She loved to knit and crochet; she was also an incredible cook and loved to bake. Connie also enjoyed blueberry picking and fishing. She loved being around family, especially her grandchildren. Connie loved to laugh and was full of life.

She is survived by her loving husband Leo; daughters, Misty Peterson and Michelle Cockren; sons, Frank and Robert Havala; 5 grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Diane Hanson, Cheryl Kingbird, Jeff, Rod and Telford Bruyere; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Handevidt Funeral Home, 900 Washington Ave, Cloquet. Family will receive friends 1 hour before the service.

Interment in Sawyer Cemetery, Sawyer on Wednesday, September 8 at 10 am.
