Juanita Chappell, age 90, of Alton, Illinois, born April 24, 1920 in Patterson, Illinois, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Eldercare Nursing Home in Alton. She was preceded in death by her first husband Paul Fry, her second husband, Alvin R. Blair, and her third husband, Donald M. Chappell, her parents, Yuell and Grace (Young) Dawdy, brothers, Howard and Harold Dawdy, as well as a niece and nephew.
Juanita was a member of the Emmanuel Free Methodist Church in Fosterburg, Illinois and a charter member of the Wood River Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, gardening, camping, and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Phyllis Fry of Olive Branch, Illinois; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Richard Rulo of Grafton; three grandchildren, Brian Lee Fry, Stacey Rulo, and Dayna Crocker and her husband Randal; three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Gentry and Wyatt; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Madelyn and Stan Patterson of Bend, Oregon and Polly Westerhold of White Hall; three nephews, Joe Dawdy of Missouri, Wayne Dawdy and his wife Sandy of Missouri and David Westerhold of White Hall and two nieces, Mary Ellen Piper and her husband Ralph of Pittsfield, Illinois and Bonnie Reynolds and her husband Richard of Texas.
