Maryanne (McKechnie) Doherty, of Avon, died Nov. 25. She was 68. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Avon where she had been a resident for 55 years. Maryanne was the owner of Peridot Skin & Nail Care in Cohasset and had previously been a tour director for Maritz in St. Louis for 10 years. She loved traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and trips with her children. She enjoyed spending summers in Maine and was very active on committees in the town of Avon. She was the beloved wife of the late Philip L. Doherty; mother of Christine Connolly and Michael Doherty, both of Avon; sister of John McKechnie of Arizona and the late George McKechnie. Also survived by seven grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held in Avon Baptist, Wednesday, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. Interment private.
