Nellie Marie Kelley, 74, of Athens passed away on Friday, November 26, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Kelley was born October 11, 1936 in Limestone County to L. L. Vest and Fannie Grace Thomas Vest.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 29, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Berea Baptist Church. Lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m. Visitation will be Sunday, November 28, 2010 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with Pat Lawrence officiating.

Mrs. Kelley was a member of the Berea Baptist Church and a lifelong resident of Athens, Alabama.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leeman L. Vest; a brother, Ernest Vest; and sisters, Ruby Elizabeth Vest Dyar, Annie Sparkman and Louise Crowe.

She is survived by her husband, Alton Doyle Kelley; son, Randall Kelley and wife Angela; daughter, Diana Adams and husband Ricky; brothers, Howard Vest and wife Marie, Charles Vest and wife Francis, and Ron Vest; sisters, Lorene Harville and husband Fred, Ruth Garner and husband Warren and Linda Cothren; 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Wade Kelley, Barry Kelley, Tommy Kelley, Jeff Harville, Felton Fillyaw, and Eugene Vest.
