The son of my ancestors, HENRY and ALICE (KING/E) BALDWIN:
Robert, the fourth of seven children of Henry Baldwin and Alice King/e was born say 1576 at Aston, Clinton, Bucks, England. Robert married Joane Robinson, who was from Henley-on-the-Thames, Oxfordshire. They had one child:
1. Anne Baldwin (b. ca. 1604, Northchurch; d. 20 Feb 1661/2, Milford, CT) m. bef, 1632/3 at Aylesbury, Bucks, England, Alexander Bryan
Robert Baldwin, yeoman, resided on lands obtained by inheritance from his father, Henry, and at lands in Flaunden, and Northchurch, Hertfordhire.
Robert Baldwin died between 22 March 1605 when is will was written and 1 April 1605 when it was proved; he evidently died young say his 29th year, and daughter Anne was an infant. Robert was buried in St. Mary's Churchyard, Northchurch, Hertforshire, England.
Robert Baldwin's will was dated 22 March [3 James] 1605 and proved 1 April 1605, by his brother Richard Baldwin, executor of his will, "My bodye to be buryed in the churche yarde of North Churche." After small bequests to his aunt Lettice Foster, of Tring, and to the poor of St. Leonard's and Cholesbury, he left his estate to his wife Joane and daughter Anne. His overseer was his "Brother" (brother-in-law) [Richard] Salter.

According to Seversmith, Robert Baldwin was born say 1576 on a farm held of the Manor of Dundrige in the parish Aston Clinton, Buckinghamshire. In the following year [or two], his father, Henry, purchased the Manor from Sir John Packington and Robert was undoubtedly brought up in the manor house. This information comes closest to identifying Robert's birth year and supports the comment that Robert died young as his daughter, Anne, was an infant.
