Mr. David Jimmy Copeland, 22, died suddenly Thursday (May 30, 2002) at Southeast Georgia Regional Medical Center in Brunswick. He is a native and lifelong resident of Waycross. He was an electrician for Island Electric Company.

He is the son of the late Jimmy Copeland.

He is survived by his wife, Brandy Carter Copeland of Waycross; mother, Agnes Morgan Copeland (husband Jerry Sikes) of Waycross; two sisters, Cathy Copeland and Carol Rowland (husband Morris) both of Waycross; one brother, Fred Copeland of Waycross; two Grandmothers, Nora Nelson of Waycross, an Alvia Padgelek of Athens; grandparents, L. V and Rachel Sikes of Cobbtown; one niece, Brandi Crews of Waycross; three nephews, Michael Ryan, Jonathan Rowland and Nicholas Rowland; and several aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday (June 2, 2002) at Hargraves Chapel. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 7 until 9 p.m. Saturday at Music Funeral Home.
