"Jack" Starr Bean was the 4th of 5 children born in Rusk Co. Tx. to "Jack" John Starr Bean Sr. and his wife, "Lizzie" Elizabeth May Crow Bean. His brothers and sisters were Foster T., Mary Ann, Henrietta, and Martha. He graduated from Kilgore High School, Tyler Jr. College, and Cumberland Law School. He married Tresa Mae Kapelle in 1950. They had 4 girls and 1 boy. Tresa died on Oct. 27, 1987 and was buried in the Kilgore City Cemetery. "Jack" served Kilgore and Gregg Co. as Justice of the Peace and served as Gregg County Commissioner. He was a member of the Lions Club for over 50 years and recognized by St. Luke's Methodist Church as being the oldest active member of that congregation.
Later in life, "Jack" married Mabel Frances Spear in 1989.
He and most of his family (and relatives) are buried in the Kilgore City Cemetery. He was 95 when he died.
