Buffalo. Funeral services were planned here today for Dr James Wright Putnam, nationally prominent Neurologist and Psychiatrist who died late last night in Buffalo General Hospital, Putnam was 77. He had been in ill health for the past 6 months. Putnam was a graduate and Professor of the University of Buffalo. He devoted much of his professional career to medical legal work in reference to insanity and was a state witness during the trial of Leon Czolgosz for the assassination of President William McKinley
