Mrs. Julia Howell was a native of Grant, Louisiana, and had lived in Beaumont, Texas, since 1928. Mrs. Howell was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Broussard's Mortuary. Rev. James B. Thompson, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Surviving are two sons, Truman E. Howell of Beaumont, Texas, and T.R. Howell of Silsbee, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. James A. Redmond and Mrs. Adrian McDaniel, both of Beaumont, Texas, Mrs. Marvin A. Laurent Sr. of Port Arthur, Texas, and Mrs. Robert Flickinger of Winnie, Texas; a brother, Tyra Dowies of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Johnson of Grant and Mrs. B.F. Garlington of Houston, Texas; nine grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Walter Leroy Howell, Joseph E. Coco, Robert R. Collins, J.H. Carlin, D. R. Carlin Sr., and James A. Laurent.
