Funeral Services were held in Fortuna- Burial was made in the Tipton. I.O.O.F Cemetery.
Miss Mildred McClymonds, well known here in Tipton, died at the home of her brother, J. C. McClymonds, in Fortuna, Friday, March 28, 1924.
Several weeks ago at Twin Falls, Idaho, Miss McClymonds underwent an operation for glandular cancer, and was later brought back to her brother's home, where she was given the tenderest care and attention.
Funeral services were conducted in the home, Monday afternoon, by Rev. O.K. Posey, before friends and relatives, and a fitting tribute paid to her life and work.
Interment was made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Tipton. There were a number of lovely floral tributes.
Miss McClymonds was born in Butler County, Pa, September 17, 1875. After finishing her early schooling, she became interested in teaching and devotd her life to it. She graduated from Warrensburg Teachers College and taught in various places, the last five years in Idaho. She was most efficient in her profession, giving the best of ther self to her pupils and her work and sparing no pains to keep herself in touch with the better methods of teaching.
She was a women possessed of uncommon force of character and was a loyal friend and devoted sister. She bore her severe suffering with extreme patience.
She leaves, beside the brother in Fortyna, three sisters, one in Texas, one in Oklahoma and one in Arkansas.
A number of out-of-town relatives attended the funeral.
