Obit August 17, 1905.

The once bright home in mourning lies,
A saddened silence broods o'er all;
Love from the depths of anquish cries
For Love that cannot meet its call.

The cherished wife, the mother dear,
Is lost; ah, grief, how sharp, how keen
Oft, oft must start the silent tear
When mem'ry dwells on what has been.

By family, idol justly prized;
Nay more, a gen'rous friend and true,
And wide the circle that comprised
Those whom her genial welcome drew.

High the respect she ever won,
Her memory not soon shall fade:
It lives in deeds oft kindly done
And sweetness which in life she shed.

Her loss is mourned with heartfelt woe,
Yet faith must seried hearts assure
That well-spent-life like hers below
Above must rich reward secure.
