Mrs. Sadie E. Barnhart, 92, of Evergreen Nursing Home, Harmony, formerly of Terrace Apartments, died suddenly at 6:45 p.m. yesterday at Butler County Memorial Hospital. Born in Beaver Falls, Dec. 19, 1886, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary Jones Schlagel. Her husband, John Clyde Barnhart, died Feb. 1, 1961. She was a member of St., Paul's United Church of Christ; the Mary Prugh Missionary Circle of the church and the Women's Christian Temperance Union. Surviving are a son, Merle R Barnhart of Falls Church Va.; three daughters, Mrs. John H. (Ethel) Turner of Freeport, Mrs. Bernard R. (Myrtle) Oesterling of East Butler and Mrs. Chester O. (Janet) Aspelin of New Duffy Road; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Hazel) Stoops and a brother, George Dewey Slagle, both of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews. Three sons preceded her in death. BARNHART - Friends of Mrs. Sadie E, Barnhart of Evergreen Nursing Home, Harmony, formerly of Terrace Apte., who died Monday, May 28, 1979, will be received at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home, with the Rev. John J. Duffus, pastor of First English Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Butler County Memorial Park. Arrangement by Thompson-Miller.
