Ruth attests she married James Smith March 1792 in Tunkhannock (Wyoming County) PA, which is where James relocated with his father and 2 brothers after the Battle of Wyoming at Forty-Fort.

Headstone may be incorrect - it says died 19 April 1853 age 72 yrs, 6 mo, 17 days.

In a 23 Oct 1843 affidavit Ruth attested age 69.
--(born 1774).
In a 2 March 1844 affidavit Ruth attested she would be age 70 on the 25th day of next August.
--(born 25 August 1774).
--1850 census of Wells Township, Bradford Co. PA - Ruth A. Smith, age 76 NY.
--(born ca.1774)

Maiden name uncertain.
--Her step-son's grandaughter said Hoffman; there are other Hoffman in the lineage.
--daughter Miranda's marriage record said Huff.
--a great-grandaughter said in a genealogy that it is Huff.
