Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Watson, 91, of Brownsboro, were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Highway 31 Church of Christ in Brownsboro with Forrest McFadden and Dan Manuel officiating.

Burial was in Red Hill cemetery near Murchison under the direction of Foster and Brown Funeral Home of Athens.

Mrs. Watson died Saturday in Palestine after a lengthy illness.

Born February 8, 1893 in Ellis county, she had lived most of her life in Brownsboro. She was a member of Highway 31 Church of Christ in Brownsboro and was a retired lunchroom supervisor for the Brownsboro Independent School District.

She was preceded in death in 1948 by her husband, C.R. (Dick) Watson and two sons, T.C. Watson in 1969 and Quentin Watson in June 1984.

Survivors include one daughter, Oleta Watts of Palestine; one sister, Zephie Stuart of Austin; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Pall bearers were Charlie Wells, Jack Beall, Paul Boles, Raymond Clyde Farmer, Emerson Chapman and John Saunders.
