Jordan Rice, age 14, of Fayette, died Nov. 20, 2010, at T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital. Services will be noon Wednesday at Rice's Valley Baptist Church with Bro. Sam Delaney and Bro. Steve Rimes officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Fayette County with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.

Survivors include her parents, Gerald and Stacie Rice; sisters, Brooke Rice and Emma Grace Rice; brothers, Jacob Rice and Joel Rice; and grandparents, David and Carol Crawford and Roland and Joyce Rice.

Jordan was born in Tuscaloosa, Ala. She was in the 9th grade. Jordan loved everyone around her, and took care of her baby sister and brother. She loved her friends and texting. At the age of 9, Jordan asked the Lord Jesus Christ to be her personal Lord and Savior. She will forever be in our hearts and will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Gilliam, Jacob Gray, Logan Hagler, Mathew Shields, Terry Grammer, Ronnie Colburn, Brian Latham, and Scott Gilliam.

Honorary pallbearers are Rice's Valley Baptist Church, Gospel Light Baptist Church, New Hope Baptist Church, Rock of Ages Ministries, and Jordan's special friend.
