From her obituary -- "her father died when she was an infant and her mother immigrated to the US with her baby in the 'forties.' They located in Wisconsin at Prairie Du Chene. There Mrs Kerwin grew to womanhood. As a child she attended the French-Indian mission school at Fort Prairie." Moved with Daniel to Strong City in 1881. Lived there until the death of Daniel. Then she lived in Herrington and Wichita. They had six children--all living in 1933, with the exception of "one son whose death occurred when a boy."
